To discover and learn more about the fantastic
landscape of Becerril de la Sierra, we suggest walking some of the six routes
that are made for visitors.
If you are an expert mountaineer or climber,
you can climb up to the peak of La Maliciosa (Maliciosa Mountain Peak) (2.227
meters) through the Route from Becerril to La Maliciosa and enjoying the view
of the wonderful landscapes of the Sierra de Guadarrama. If you come along with
children or the whole family, a fantastic option is to go walking until the
Raso de los Enebros through the Route of the Romería (a pilgrimage road). If
you want a shorter route but in full contact with the amazing nature that
surrounds us, feel free to ask the Route to the Alto del Hilo. It is a very
simple trail and you will be back in 2 hours enjoying one of the most
appreciated and popular spots of the neighborhood.
If you want to enjoy a bike ride, you can take
the Way of St. James from Madrid (Camino de Santiago de Madrid) from the
municipality of Becerril to La Maliciosa’s reservoir, passing through the base
of Almorchones route or up to CabezaMediana. To visit the old optical telegraph
at its peak, take the route from Becerril to the Telegraph Station.
Whatever your choice, we hope that you enjoy
your journey to Becerril de la Sierra and its wonderful environment.
